Journey of a Creative Nomad
`Gerak Intuisi’ – an art showcase by Dato’ Khairul Anwar Salleh opens from 7 – 18 March 2023 at Suite 88, Desker Road, Home of Superbroadcast.
Singapore-born Dato’ Khairul Anwar Salleh is a creative nomad who has been travelling through many cultural and creative disciplines for over 35 years. Starting from stage acting to art, to directing and producing content for television as well as administering content, he is now CEO of Malaysia’s TV Network, Media Prima.
He has also worked in collaboration with artists and practitioners from Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Australia.
Art has always been his strong interest since graduating from Curtin University as it provides him the space for personal expression which other mediums are not able to.
But what is consistent in the process within these disciplines is intuition.
The showcase will not only feature his latest works but will also display some of his earlier paintings adapted from stage production Forest for Rest – a devised-theatre piece performed during Singapore Arts Festival 1990. The piece is in response to the environmental awareness back then.
Gerak Intuisi is a unique display of confidence, intelligence and spontaneity by an individual who remains true to his art.

The opening was a resounding success, filled with warmth and vibrant energy. In a truly touching gesture, seven dear friends and family made the journey all the way from Kuala Lumpur to join the celebration. The evening culminated in an unforgettable surprise: a spontaneous performance by Dato’ Khairul Anwar Salleh himself, accompanied by live musicians. It was a magical conclusion to a perfect night
